Concept of O₂ Generator
Oxygen generators are critical in medical and industrial settings, especially during times of high demand. The process begins with air from a dryer passing through a coalescing filter, which removes water and oil via a purge valve. The purified air then enters two aluminum towers filled with zeolite molecular sieves.
These sieves adsorb nitrogen from the air, allowing pure oxygen to flow out. A portion of the oxygen generated is redirected to regenerate the molecular sieves, ensuring continuous operation. This regeneration cycle is where vacuum pumps play a pivotal role—maintaining system efficiency and oxygen purity.
